Influential dogs of the 70 s

Although not a Scottish dog, Champion Rossfort Premonition hips BVA (2-3) was very influential in Scottish dogs pedigree s in the 1970 s. As he is the sire or grandsire of many Scottish dogs of note. Such as; Champion Amulree s Heiko, Champion Wauchopes Francesca, Champion Edensmuir Liz s girl of Bedwin, Champion , Edensmuir Vigilante, Edensmuir Vibart, Edensmuir Vital Spark and Robunas Bandit Chief.

The latter four were exported to Australia where they became Australian Champions. Premonition also figured in the Pedigree s of 90% of Scottish dogs, as most breeders used the dog or a son of him.

The first dog of note would have to be Champion Amulree s Heiko, Born 1976 Hips BVA (1-1) line bred on Premonition 3-2. He was the breed record holder for CC s won (47) and he also sired Champion Amulree s Hassan, CH. Tarik of Ellindale, CH.Allankees Heini , CH Kerson Kyerk, with multiple CC and Champ show winners. (to date no other Scottish bred dog has sired more champions than Heiko) He was without doubt the top dog of his era.

Then there was Champion Delridge Erhard born 1973 Hips BVA (2-4) again not bred in Scotland but influenced the breed here by producing Champion Fairycross Made to Measure, and Champion Fairycross Salina. Condor v Schiefen Giebel sired two Champions in his home kennel they were, Ch Peregrine of Dunmonaidh and Ch Rolf of Dunmonaidh. These dogs bred or owned by Scottish kennels were also made up to champions,, Ch Rolf of Dunmonaidh, Ch Peregrin of Dunmonaidh, Ch Starhopes Mirelle of Charavigne, Ch Fairycross High Society, Ch Graloch Amorous, Ch Rintilloch Havoc of Amulree

Influential dogs of the 80 s.

The next dog of note, -again not bred in Scotland- imported from Germany was Champion Cito v Konigsbruch born 1979 Hips BVA (4-2). Cito sired 22 champions 3 of them being bred in Scotland, they were Champion Jonal Basko, Ch. Millvins Avalon and CH. Amulree s Sindy. Champion Xaran of Jonal was a grandson of Cito being by CH. Jonal Basko.

The 80 s also saw a few Scottish bred or owned Champions, Ch Langfaulds Amos, Ch Kurtlee Seffe of Delridge Ch Meik vd Talquelle, Ch Nadia vd Talquelle, CH Dunmonaidh Gytha, CH Starhopes Kassi, CH Fairycross Lindy Lu, CH Langfaulds Fancy, CH Teyves Copy Cat, and CH Amulree s Tisn t,


Influential dogs of the 90 s.

The 90 s saw a lot of German Imports come to these shores Scottish Breeders used many imports and sons of imports, Champion Moonwinds Golden Mhadi sired 2 Scottish Champions they were Ch Amulree s Aramis and Ch Graloch Domingo Scotland had a few champions crowned they were, , Ch Amulree s Aramis, Ch Cotchess Digger, Ch Graloch Domingo, Ch Drumbiels Chadwick at Drumwhannon, Ch Josalka Barracuda, Ch Drumwhannon Princess Dollar.


Influential Dogs 2000, to, 2011.


The introduction of the pet passport meant that Scottish breeders could now use foreign dogs more easily without the quarantine needed before. Gayville s Fanto sired 2 Champions they are Ch Starhopes Chivalry and Ch Conbhairean Alexis. Scotland had quite a few champions crowned they are as follows Ch Uri v Amulree, Ch Carozand Enzo, Ch Conbhairean Alexis, Ch Starhopes Chivalry, Ch Loretta from Shotaan,Ch Drumwhannon Zidan, Ch Charly van t Katrienahof, Ch Conbhairean Leska, Ch Drumwhannon Kora, Ch Starhopes Qualli, Ch Conbhairean Nadia, Ch Hazroh Quaxi, Ch Robunas Quantas Master, Ch and VA1(UK) Conbhairean Quantum SchH3 KKL1,
